ABDALLAH’S GLUTEN FREE CANDY
United States labeling regulations require food that is labeled gluten free to contain less than 20 parts per million (ppm) of gluten. Gluten is a protein in wheat, rye, barley and cross-bred hybrids of these grains (triticale). At Abdallah Candies, we produce a few products that contain wheat or barley (malt) but use an allergen changeover procedure to assure there is no cross-contamination of gluten free products during processing. Our candy is tested quarterly for the presence of gluten using a test that detects gluten at 10 ppm or higher.
